Hosny, Lai, and Rohra are all board certified cardiologists and pride themselves on employing the latest innovations in cardiac care while emphasizing prevention and education. Your doctor will conduct an extensive review of your health during this first visit. What is Cardiology ? Cardiologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system. Cardiology encompasses a variety of procedures and services, including cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty, coronary atherectomy, treatment for acute myocardial infarction, balloon angioplasty, diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations and management of congestive heart failure. HOURS If you have an emergency, you should always contact 911. Our office is open from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you need to reach the office after hours for an urgent problem, you can reach the doctor on call by calling our office number (925) 685-7598. Press number 1. This will connect you to our answering service. NEW PATIENTS We would appreciate your arrival 10 minutes prior to your appointment time on your first visit. Please bring all medications with you at the time of your visit. If you need to cancel your appointment, we would appreciate advance notification of 24 hours. Please schedule a new appointment at the time of your cancellation. All testing appointments must be cancelled no less than 24 hours before the procedure; otherwise, a cancellation fee will be charged. TESTING RESULTS Your lab and test results will be reviewed with your doctor at the time of your next visit. If you have concerns about your lab or test results, please don't hesitate to contact the office. PRESCRIPTIONS If it is safe for you to receive a refill without having a checkup, we will be happy to authorize your pharmacy to refill your prescription. If there are concerns, your doctor may ask that you come in for a visit before additional refills are approved. We ask that you phone your pharmacy and ask them to fax us the prescription you need refilled. Your doctor will be contacted and the prescription will be faxed back to your pharmacy. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE OUT OF MEDICATION. Please allow 3 days for processing. Your physician may be out of the office, in surgery or out of town and this may delay your refill.
